Our Story

For over a decade, founder Jessica Sanford has devoted her life to the performing arts: the kids summer camp shows, the self tapes, joining the actors union, auditioning, performing, taking class... No matter what, her heart has always belonged to the arts. If she wasn't performing, she was teaching, and when she wasn't teaching she was producing shows or facilitating workshops for her peers. 

 

One afternoon she sat down to talk with her dad.

"I wonder if I should ask what people specifically want?"

she asked.

"Parents and people like menus. They want to have a list of things to choose from" he responded.

Suddenly, it became very clear. She would provide a virtual "menu" of classes for adults and children of all ages. She would employ her skilled colleagues, she could facilitate workshops and provide performance opportunities, she could bring people together with the shared love of creativity all under one umbrella.

And so began The Arts Buffet.
